SPRING BREAK VACATION 2015 (Portland, OR)

We started out our long Spring Break vacation by visiting my sister and her family in Portland, Oregon. Portland welcomed us with a beautiful spring weather. As soon as we arrived at my sister's house, we made plans to visit few places. It started out by visiting a beautiful woodsy park, which is just across the street from my sister's house. As soon as we entered the park, I felt as if I was back in my homeland Ukraine. Even the vegetation of the woods was very similar to the one in Ukraine. Kids had so much fun running around, and climbing the trees.
On our way home, we took a long route and stopped by to see some horses and chickens... It was a fun, adventures first evening in Portland.

The next day we took a trip to the famous Multnomah Falls. This place is just so majestic, and beautiful.

On the third day we took a trip to the Seaside and Ecola State Park. The views were absolutely breathtaking! Its amazing to see the beauty of God's creation.
On our way home, we stopped by cute little town for some ice-cream. And then during the drive, kids took a long and peaceful nap.

On our final day in Portland, we toured the downtown a little. Our first stop was Little Big Burger for lunch. And oh my, they have the best french fries I have ever had in my life! The burger was pretty yummy as well, and believe me, I am not big burger lover... but I did enjoy this Little Big burger for sure. For dessert we stopped by Salt & Straw. Let me tell you, whoever came up with these ice cream flavors, was straight out genius! I mean, how on earth do you think of putting blue cheese in ice-cream?! Yep, you read it correctly- BLUE CHEESE. That's the flavor I went with, blue cheese and pears, and it was so so delicious. I am craving it as I am typing this post.

The rest of the evening we spend relaxing with my sister and her family. It was such a great visit to Portland. The next day, early in the morning we continued our big Spring Break adventure.
